
Rising Stars International Arts Festival is an annual competition organized by MaySpace Music Academy, in partnership with the leading international online music exam board from Australia – Con Brio Examinations. The competition is also honored to be supported by many domestic organizations: Vietnam National Music Academy, L’Espace, Steinway & Sons Vietnam, as well as many others throughout the entire Festival duration in Hanoi.
Attending this program, students will have the opportunity to meet famous domestic and foreign artists and teachers as jury members. At this International competition and performance program, participants will also have the opportunity to interact with students from all over the world.

3. Competition’s objectives:
May Space wishes to bring a world-class, high-quality competition to the music student population in Vietnam, a place for students to showcase their talents, hone their skills and become more well-rounded in their respective fields.

4.2 Anticipated competition format:
- Preliminary round: Online format
- Final round (anticipated): Live format
- Gala concert (anticipated): Large concert hall – Vietnam National Academy of Music (77 Hao Nam, Dong Da district, Hanoi)
4.3. Procedures:
- Preliminary round (Online):
- Application form submission must be made through the competition’s official website.
- Each participant/group will send in a performance video (containing 1 piece) for this round.
- The organizing committee will send a confirmation email after receiving a completed application form, preliminary round performance video’s link, and application fee from the participant.
- Board of jury will listen and judge based on the submitted videos.
- Result announcement
- Final round (Offline):
- The organizing committee will send each participant an email with the following information included: Exam time, Exam ID number, location.
- Participant will do live performance in the competition venue
- Board of jury will listen and judge live (in person)
- Result announcement
- Award ceremony and Gala Concert: Winners will be awarded at the large concert hall – Vietnam National Academy of Music (77 Hao Nam, Dong Da district, Hanoi).
4.4. Preliminary round video submission’s instruction:
- Submit application form online through the official website and receive instructions on how to submit preliminary round’s video.
- Submit video:
- Video must be shot with the participant’s body and hands within the video frame.
- Short introduction with participant’s full name, age and repertoire.
- Must be an original, unedited video
- Maximum time limit: 5 minutes, number of pieces: 1 piece
- Participant SHOULD use Grand piano (particularly for piano category) to have the best sound quality output (submission using electric piano/keyboard is not allowed)
- Upload the video onto YouTube or Facebook page and turn on public for privacy/view mode
- Submit the link to the uploaded video to the organizing committee per instructions
- Participants can record their performances at the MaySpace Music Academy (main location) with Grand piano and professional recording videos.

7. Communications and Advertising Plan
- A website to introduce the Festival with all application information (including ages and classes, fees, Jury, etc. as well as a section to apply online to assist far-away contestants)
- A page for the Festival on the Social Network.
- Customer service and support team during the entire Festival period (Hotline number & desk personnel at MaySpace locations…)
- Coordinate with professional organizations and institutions (Vietnam National Academy of Music, music academies all across Vietnam, etc.)
- Send collaboration invitations to other institution known for organizing competitions, music teachers
- All agreements with MaySpace will be written into a legal document that is valid in Vietnam.
